Our History
New Town Toyota’s story begins with one man, one vision, and a lot of hard work. In 1983, Joe Zito took over a modest used car yard in East Victoria Park with just eight vehicles and a clear purpose: to build something better. For customers, for staff, and for our community. He was already Dealer Principal of Kalamunda Toyota and was ready to bring his own brand of customer service to Perth.
Back then, Joe did it all himself - from cleaning and servicing cars to running finance paperwork and sales. His commitment to honest service and customer care quickly earned the trust of local drivers, and by 1992, New Town Toyota had become an official Toyota franchise.

Today, New Town Toyota remains proudly 100% owned by Joe and operated with the support of his family and a dedicated team, many of whom have been part of our journey since the very beginning. Together, we’ve grown into one of Australia’s top 20 Toyota dealerships and are recognised as one of the best Toyota dealerships in Perth.
