Since mid-2024, all new RAV4s sold in Australia are hybrid electric vehicles, so if you are looking at newer used models, they will be hybrids. RAV4 Hybrids offer excellent fuel efficiency , strong performance, and lower running costs over time. For older pre-owned models, you may find petrol variants which can offer a lower purchase price. What warranty comes with a used RAV4 from New Town Toyota?

Warranty coverage depends on the age and condition of the vehicle. Toyota Certified Pre-Owned RAV4s come with additional peace of mind through Toyota's certification program, which includes a comprehensive inspection and 1 year added warranty. Even for non-certified vehicles, we can discuss extended warranty products to protect your purchase. Every used RAV4 in our stock undergoes a workshop inspection before sale, so you can buy with confidence.

How do I finance a used RAV4?

Do used RAV4s have Apple Car Play or Android Auto?

Apple Car Play and Android Auto were added to the RAV4 in late 2019. Depending on the month of manufacturing, a Used Toyota RAV4 might have Apple Car Play or Android Auto if it was produced after November 2019.

Yes, Toyota RAV4s built from late 2019 onwards include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all grades. Earlier models (2018 and before) do not have this feature and cannot be retrofitted.

If you are looking at a 2019 build RAV4, it is worth checking the specific build date, as vehicles manufactured before November 2019 may not include smartphone connectivity. Our team can confirm the features on any RAV4 in our stock before you visit.

Newer RAV4 models (2023 onwards) also include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can connect without plugging in your phone.

Can I trade in my current car when buying a used RAV4?

How much boot space does the RAV4 have?

The 5th generation RAV4 offers 580 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, or 542 litres with the adjustable floor set to the upper position. Fold the rear seats flat and you get up to 1690 litres of cargo space. The boot is wide and square-shaped, making it easy to fit prams, luggage and sports equipment. Depending on the year, higher grades like the Cruiser and Edge include a power tailgate for easier access when your hands are full.

Can the RAV4 tow a trailer or caravan?

Yes, the 5th generation RAV4 has a braked towing capacity of up to 1750kg* for all-wheel drive models, making it suitable for towing small to medium trailers, boats and caravans. Front-wheel drive models have a braked towing capacity of 800kg. If towing is important to you, we recommend an AWD grade like the Edge or any Cruiser AWD. Genuine Toyota tow bars and wiring harnesses are available through our parts department.
